Speaker Bio: Roehl Sybing is a Research Associate in the Behavioral Health Initiative at the University of North Dakota. He has taught English as a foreign language, sociolinguistics, and multicultural education at various universities in Japan and the United States. He holds a PhD in Education from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Roehl has significant expertise on research methodology, having written extensively and presented webinars on research methods for ATLAS.ti and Lumivero since 2022. He has a forthcoming book about positionality in qualitative research to be published on Routledge later this year. His current research interests include dialogic classroom interaction, teaching and learning in higher education, and academic socialization in college contexts.
