You will learn

The objective of this webinar is to give a historical overview of grounded theory and its variants that emerged over the past half century. This webinar will describe how grounded theory is defined and understood across the different approaches focusing on:

  • Epistemological and ontological positions
  • What is meant by theory and theory construct?
  • How it is done in practice (methods, sampling, coding, theoretical saturation, developing an analysis)
  • Similarities, differences and tensions

The webinar will conclude with a discussion on the future of grounded theories.
