The first ATLAS.ti laboratory in Brasil is a reality!

October 10, 2019

On September 17th, the first ATLAS.ti Lab in Brazil was inaugurated at the Pontificia Universidade Catolica de Paraná-Curitiba (PUC-PR).  The lab (“Laboratorio para o ensino, práctica e análisis de dados de pesquisa cualitativa”) has the mission of teaching and promoting qualitative methods in Brazil. The Lab was inaugurated as part of the First Brazilian ATLAS.ti Conference that took place in Curitiba, Brazil. Our appreciation goes to Dr. Dilmeire Sant’Anna Ramos Vosgerau, from PUC-PR for her efforts making this lab a reality. She and our manager in Latin America, Luis Alfredo Loiza, taught an ATLAS.ti workshop to celebrate the inauguration of the lab.

The 19th edition of the EDUCERE meeting held in Curitiba-Brazil, was the ideal event for the inauguration and official opening of our 1st Qualitative Research Laboratory sponsored by ATLAS.ti in Brazil. During all the days of the event, conferences were held with experts in qualitative methodology and basic and advanced workshops of ATLAS.ti were given in the morning and afternoon. Our next appointment for the official inauguration of another of our Qualitative Research Laboratories in Latin America will be on November 17 and 18 at FLACSO headquarters in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
